Installation
Unidek offers a total SIPS installation service, whether carried out by our own installation teams or by approved installation partners who have been trained both locally and at Unidek BV’s extensive, purpose-built training facilities in Gemert, Holland, in the installation of Structural Insulated Panels.
On-site risks are minimised through adherence to the Unidek Structural Insulated Panels installation process, which includes the production of relevant health & safety and risk assessment documentation and crane lift plans before commencement on site and each SIPS installation is supervised by a qualified contracts manager.
Health & Safety
The methods used to install Unidek Condor SIPS panels on a roof significantly reduce the Health & Safety risks encountered when constructing traditional roofs (e.g walking on rafters, between trusses etc). Unidek Condor Structural Insulated panels not only provide an instant weathertight structure but they also provide an easier and safe platform for access (e.g. installing roof windows, tiling etc). Unidek Condor Structural Insulated panels are also designed to use the ‘Safe Click’ system allowing total security whilst working on roofs. Details are available upon request. Mechanical handling methods must be employed when lifting Unidek Condor Structural Insulated Panels and this is controlled and provided by our installation partners.
